Upcycling can be understood as overcycling or recycling. It is therefore appropriate to recover materials in order to create a new product, the idea being that it is of a higher level! And since at Seconde Vue we give a new life to these vintage frames that have been sleeping for too long in cellars, cupboards, to what extent do they also benefit from a new look?
The origin of upcycling
It was in the 90s that upcycling was first named by a German architect, his intention being to give more value to the material in opposition to classic recycling which consists of destroying said material.
We will therefore talk about recycling upwards.
This ecological and ingenious trend has spread to many areas, including fashion.
And we also use upcycling at Seconde Vue, and thanks to this technique, give your vintage glasses a new style!
Upcycling: colored lenses on your vintage glasses
And yes… it’s finally possible… mixing vintage and new!
Seconde Vue has a variety of colored lenses to allow you to personalize your frames!
Indeed, brown or blue lenses, through orange, purple and green. Color gradients are also lenses that will offer great singularity to your vintage glasses. Upcycling with colored lenses is also a way to give character to frames, sometimes too classic... In order to offer them a second life!
At the boutique every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. or at the showroom by appointment, come and give your frames a different look!
