At Seconde Vue, we also offer anti-blue light glasses!
We're not telling you anything new: we spend more and more time in front of screens. Indeed, many people, to pass the time in transport, equip themselves - almost automatically - with their smartphone or work 8 hours a day in front of a screen and who, once home, turn on the TV or watch their favorite series in front of their computer to rest from their day. Many of us have this routine, and this to the great detriment of our eye health because in recent years, we have noticed more and more people suffering from what is called "eye fatigue".
What is blue light, specifically?
To put it simply: the visible light of the human eye is composed of a palette of colors and each of them is associated with a wavelength. The shorter a length, the more energy it produces, and blue is among the shortest waves in the light spectrum. In addition, all the screens that we are used to emitting this artificial blue light.
However, it is important to clarify that in its natural state, blue light is not particularly harmful; it even contributes to our mental health. It is this lack of light that causes gloom in many people in winter. However, artificial blue light is much more intense than that generated by the sun, and screens send us light up to a thousand times more intense than the level supported by the retina. This is why it is harmful to our eyes and it is important to protect ourselves from it.
How do anti-blue light lenses protect us? Our opticians at Seconde Vue explain!
This eye fatigue caused by blue light can lead to headaches, concentration problems and can even lead to memory loss in the most extreme cases. In the long term, prolonged exposure can cause premature aging of the retina. To overcome this, more and more ophthalmologists and opticians are recommending "anti-blue light" glasses that will filter out the harmful blue light from screens.
Note that this "anti-blue light" filter can just as easily dress up a pair of classic corrective glasses through a treatment, as glasses that do not correct vision. And that's good because at Seconde Vue we have a wide choice of vintage frames that will perfectly protect your eyes!
At Seconde Vue, we offer you frames that suit you!
Do you have a specific idea of what you want? We can offer you a selection of vintage frames specially designed for you.
On the contrary, you have no idea what you would like? We will accompany you throughout your search and will try to find together the vintage frame that best corresponds to your expectations and your style.
Because be careful! "Vintage" is not synonymous with "outdated", quite the contrary. Fashion never ceases to prove to us that it is nothing but an eternal restart and the world of glasses only confirms this. Are you looking for an original vintage frame? Fashionable? Discreet? Extravagant? Seconde Vue challenges itself to find your ideal pair of glasses, and what's more; a pair of eco-responsible glasses! What more could you ask for?
Protecting your eyes is good, but protecting them with style is even better, right?
We're not telling you anything new: glasses are undoubtedly the accessory that will allow you to easily assert your style. Iris Apfel dressed the entire fashion world with her huge round black frames, while John Lennon still inspires all generations today with his iconic small round glasses, simple and refined. Jean-Pierre Coffe, for his part, was just as well known for his cooking skills and his food critics as for his looks and glasses, which have become iconic. And if one of these three icons inspires you; we have the perfect pair waiting for you!
The little Miu-Miu glasses; the must-have of the new school year? That's good, at Seconde Vue we have the same ones but in a vintage version!
We noticed it on the Miu-Miu, Gucci, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta catwalks during the last Women's Fashion Week, the back-to-school fashion is that of "Strict Core". It is characterized in particular by the comeback of the long pleated skirt, cashmere cardigans and finally: the big return of prescription glasses!
Indeed, Miu-Miu won all the fashion votes during its last show where it re-drew the contours of a new femininity, which aims to be more spontaneous. On this occasion, Muccia Prada notably made a large part of its models wear glasses with oval frames.
And that's good because at Seconde Vue, we have a multitude of small glasses in the same style dating from the 90s and designed by Thierry Mugler. Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and even the stylist Veneda Carter have already succumbed to the trend and when will you?
